With the advancement of electric and automated vehicle technologies, the demand for reliable bonding of semiconductor devices and PCB assemblies has increased.

As a result, the adoption of surface treatment technologies provided by Plasmatreat, such as Openair-Plasma® and PlasmaPlus® coatings, is expanding in mass production environments.

Our plasma technology is being adopted as a solution due to its comprehensive evaluation of features, including: 1) minimizing running costs, 2) not using harmful chemicals, 3) simplifying processes, and 4) enabling process automation.

In addition, ensuring high reliability in the manufacturing process is essential for the productions that require high reliability.  It is necessary to establish a method for evaluating the surface condition of each material after plasma treatment, and to be able to rely on the uniformity of the plasma treatment during mass production.

In this PlasmaTalk, we will explain the mechanism and effects of surface modification using Openair-Plasma®, as well as the critical plasma process monitoring functions in semiconductor device and PCB assembly processes.

Additionally, Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. will explain the equipment and mechanisms of KRUSS, a world-leading company in contact angle meters. As the exclusive distributor of KRUSS in Japan, they will introduce various related applications from their extensive experience. We invite everyone who faces challenges in surface modification and evaluation to participate.

Webinar Topics:

  • Cleaning and activation mechanisms and effects of atmospheric plasma system Openair-Plasma®
  • Important plasma monitoring functions in semiconductor device and PCBA manufacturing
  • Contact angle and surface free energy (SFE)
  • Introduction of surface evaluation equipment and methods
  • Applications and details of KRUSS in semiconductor device and PCBA manufacturing

This webinar is expected to last about 50 minutes, including a Q&A session. If you have any questions about this webinar, please contact us before the webinar.
